Description
In a way, Lytro's living-picture camera may be the digital camera market's version of the iPhone.
And while the metaphor may be a bit forced, consider this: while the iPhone developed into a revolutionary platform for apps, as a phone it was originally somewhat mediocre. That's the same impression that most will receive from the Lytro post-focus camera, a great stepping stone but not much of a product by itself.
Both the blue and the graphite versions of the camera contain 8GB of internal storage, good for 350 pictures, while the "red hot" version contains 16GB of storage, or 750 pictures. If my math is right, each .lfp file will average around 22.9MB apiece. The pictures you take will be able to be hosted on Lytro's site for free, however.
